BARBARA I GONGINI – AW15

I was at Barbara I Gonginis show AW15 during the Copenhagen Fashion Week. It was raw, mysterious and rockin – the hair was wild and super cool! Especially the red hair looked absolutely beautiful! It was mostly black as usual, but there was a little bit white among, which had a cool and illuminating effect in all the darkness. The sound was also very special with mysterious drums and animal sounds. Cool collection and show!

Barbara Gongini experimenting with sustainability and are very interested in what can be done. She upcycles her clothes, she uses wool materials from so-called care programs and she doing multifunctional clothing- more functions of a piece of clothing. It provides a longer life cycle. Barbara I Gongini has designed eco-friendly and sustainable clothing since 2004. She uses for instance not fur or leather of farmed animals. She gets her clothes produced in Europe and not in countries such as India where it is impossible to get evidence that workers have decent conditions. In addition she makes jewelry from recycled rubber and old rubber bands. And she makes the old clothes into new expensive luxury fashion. She is a very conscious designer.
